Tampa Bay Yacht Market Update: Late October 2026

Florida’s yacht market grew slightly larger and more expensive this past week. Here’s what buyers and sellers around Tampa Bay should know as boat show season approaches.

Inventory and prices are edging up
As of Oct 25, there were 3,877 active brokerage listings across Florida, up from 3,811 the previous week, according to the Florida Yacht Market Report, which draws on the IYBA brokerage listing feed. The statewide median asking price rose to $429,229, or about $10,400 per foot. By size, the median 40- to 60-foot yacht is listed at $599,000, while the median 60- to 80-footer is listed at $1.699M. These are statewide figures; no Tampa Bay-only median is published.

Patient sellers, prepared buyers
Nationally, yachts 40 feet and up have been listed for a median of 368 days, and half have remained on the market for more than a year. Florida accounts for 69% of that inventory. For buyers, that means meaningful selection and room to negotiate. For sellers, accurate pricing and strong presentation matter more than ever.

Marina news that affects your slip and your costs

  • Gulfport: On Oct 20, the city council voted 4–1 to raise commercial marina rates in February and again in August 2027. Gulfport has also begun rebuilding 56 South Basin slips damaged in the 2024 storms, although no reopening date has been set.

  • St. Petersburg: On Nov 3, voters will decide on a lease extension for Harborage Marina that would fund about $2.15M in upgrades, including new docks and lifts for larger boats. Separately, the city council approved a new Port of St. Petersburg master plan on Oct 15, estimating $93M to $163M in improvements over the next 10 to 20 years.
