The Chris-Craft 375 Stinger is a classic American performance cruiser from an era of unmistakable styling and big-block power. Built by Uniflite for Chris-Craft, the Stinger's long, low profile, hard-chine planing hull and wide-open cockpit give it the presence of a true offshore performance boat, while a surprisingly accommodating interior makes it much more than a day boat. At 37'8" with a 9' beam, the 375 delivers the kind of combination that made these boats memorable — serious performance, an enormous cockpit and enough accommodations below to spend the weekend aboard. Rock Star is a 1988 model-year Stinger 375 that has received substantial mechanical investment rather than simply relying on its original powertrain. The current setup consists of twin MerCruiser 496 MAG HO 8.1L V8 gasoline engines producing 425 HP each and 850 HP combined, driving through MerCruiser Bravo One sterndrives. The owner's refit included rebuilt drives, thru-hull water pickups with freshwater flushing, electrical upgrades, a new steering system, VDO gauges, Silent Choice exhaust, new batteries and a custom removable windshield. The survey reports approximately 350 hours on the port engine and 200 hours on the starboard engine at the time of inspection and estimates maximum speed at approximately 45 knots.
