1995 Island Packet Packet Cat
"Oasis"
The Packet Cat, made by Island Packet, the well-respected cruising boat leader, is built for cruising. Lots of storage and twin Yanmar diesels, for safety and maneuverability, and 15 foot beam fits most slips! Don't miss this one!
Overview
The Packet Cat, made by Island Packet, the well-respected cruising boat leader, is unlike most catamarans.
Oasis is designed for cruising! The walkways forward are easy to navigate, and once forward, you have a solid deck with comfortable sun pads for relaxing. There is a corner bow seat too, and it makes for a great gathering place to relax and catch a few rays during the day or watch the stars at night. It's just magical.
The cockpit is huge and inviting, plus it has a full enclosure making it a three season sun room. The visibility is good from the helm seat because the coach roof is low enough to see over.
Oasis has been owned by the same family for years. They have loved her, and it shows.
Twin 27 HP Yanmar diesels power her and she boasts the following Packet Cat key features:
- 23 Opening hatches and ports for great ventilation
- Low cabin profile giving panoramic visibility
- Full stern platform for swimming, boarding the dinghy and just plain fun
- Twin diesels
- Roller Furling Main and Jib
- Full foredeck with lounge
- Central anchor platform
- Delta Pod Bow
- Integral Keels with skeg mounted rudders
- Double cabins with private heads

Accommodations
Welcome to Oasis, a 1995 Island Packet Packet Cat.
With only 41 built between 1992 and 1997, Oasis represents one of the best maintained ones I’ve seen.
She has a full cockpit enclosure, making that big, livable cockpit good almost year-round, and the whole boat is built for your comfort on the water.
Many times the interior finish on these boats doesn’t age well, but Oasis looks very nice. The pickled ash has held up very well.
The choice of material for the upgraded upholstery is beautiful, and the addition of the custom floor coverings adds to her look.
The galley is to starboard as you come down the easy companionway steps and the salon with settee (which can pull out to make a double bunk), bulkhead mounted drop down/fold out table and extra chair for seating is all right there. The cook is part of the fun going on in the salon!
This layout has two separate cabins. Down two steps from each side of the salon will take you into the starboard owner's cabin, and the port guest's cabin.
Each cabin has a large double bed, great storage, head with separate shower and small tub. (Great for the grand kids!)
The starboard owner's cabin has a sliding door to close off this entire area. The port guest cabin has doors to allow guest use of the head area, while providing privacy for the guest sleeping area.
It’s a great layout!
