Here's what Back Cove Yachts wrote, upon the model's world debut. 'She will make her debut in the spring of 2014 at the US Powerboat Show in Annapolis. Like her sisterships of Back Cove's Downeast motor yachts, her purposeful design will establish new standards for power cruising yachts. A stable, planing hull form and fuel effi cient single engine drive line, offer comfortable, low cost cruising. The interior layout offers privacy for two couples each with their own head and shower. And storage, a key feature for long range cruisers, is abundant aboard the Back Cove 41.
The Back Cove 41 is the most recent design from Kevin Burns and the Back Cove Design Team. She is the largest model in the range and she was conceived with the cruising power-boater in mind. Two full sleeping
cabins with queen sized sleeping berths, a master head with a large stall shower and a “wet” guest head provide the accommodations for cruisers who wish to travel long distances and have family or friends along for the adventure. He hull is a vee-shape with a propeller recess on centerline to accommodate the single engine, straight-shaft drive line. With downward turning chines and spray rails and a 16 degree deadrise angle at her transom, she will plane efficiently at 12 knots and offer wide open throttle speeds of 26 knots. Fuel consumption is excellent throughout her speed range. A standard gen set and reverse cycle heat and air system provide comfortable living conditions no matter what the weather outside.
