Yellowfin Boats was established in the 1980’s by Alf Stessl in Sarasota, Florida. The yachting company was taken over by Telwater at which time the Yellowfin yacht faded from the waterways.

In the 1990’s Yellowfin was brought back due to the popular demand, and continues to create its yachts through a process of composite laminates consisting of 100 percent vinyl ester resins and a Core-Cell composite. This gives the craft additional strength without adding weight.
